Watch Out For Genital Warts

DON'T BE AFRAID OF TALKING OF SEXUAL DISEASES

Genital warts have become a common sexually transmitted disease, especially among youth. The most of people are not aware they're infected. It is estimated that about one million Americans develop this kind of sexual disease each year, which is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). They usually appear two to three months after people are sexually exposed to a person who is infected with genital warts.

Since the genital warts (also called venereal verrucas) are similar to other protuberances, and they are often painless, they are unnoticed because of their tiny size. This condition increases the risk of spreading out the infection to others.

The best way to prevent the genital warts is to make sure that you know as much as you can about your intimate partner. Otherwise, always wear a condom while having sexual contact.

MEN CAN EASILY DETECT GENITAL WARTS

Just by wrapping the genital parts in a cloth soaked in white vinegar for about five minutes, men can check out at home their private parts, even if they don't see or feel odd-looking bumps around penis, urethra or surrounding the anus. In case that their genital areas turn white with the vinegar, they should visit the doctor as soon as possible, along with their sexual partner.

A severe infection of the urethra may provoke bleeding, discharge, and the need to urinate more often than usual.

WOMEN IN HIGH DANGER

HPV warts are more serious in women because some strains have been associated with a high risk of cervical cancer. Women can develop genital warts inside and outside the vaginal area and the cervix, as well as surrounding the anus area. Some of the symptoms are a burning sensation or a change in their vaginal discharge. Anyway, women should talk to their doctor if they have any concern about genital warts.
